A young man, Denji, calculates how much debt he had left, and then goes to kill a Tomato Devil as part of his devil hunting job. Getting paid for it, and paying his bill, he is left again with almost nothing for food. The old man that hired him, explains to his driver that they are making the kid pay for his dad's debt. The driver then offers 100 yen to Denji, if he eat the cigar bud and Denji happily agrees, but as the driver leaves, he spits it out.
